2. Overview

You can use Sentream without an account. We do not operate a server for game progress, statistics or settings, and we do not use our own analytics or tracking software.

The mobile app includes Google AdMob for advertising and consent management. The optional “Remove ads” purchase uses the payment system of the relevant app store. Google or Apple consequently process data under their own responsibility. Details follow below.

3. Data stored only on your device

The app stores the following data locally on your device:

• language, sentence source, difficulty, theme, animation, haptics, music and volume settings;
• local game results such as win status, duration, number of moves and sentence length;
• the local record that “Remove ads” has been purchased.

This data is not sent to us. It is used only to provide your settings and statistics. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where storage is necessary to provide the app features you select. You can erase the data through your operating system settings or by uninstalling the app. Depending on your device and account settings, the operating system may include local app data in a device backup managed by Google or Apple and restore it after reinstallation.

4. Advertising and consent management with Google AdMob

The Android and iOS versions use Google AdMob and the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). For users in the European Economic Area and Switzerland, the provider is generally Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Other Google companies and the advertising technology providers named in the consent message may also be involved.

According to Google, the Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares in particular:

• the IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
• interactions with the app and ads, such as app launches, taps and video views;
• diagnostic information about app and SDK performance;
• device and account identifiers, including the advertising ID and app set ID where applicable;
• your privacy and consent choices stored through UMP.

This processing is used to deliver and measure ads, limit ad frequency, and prevent fraud and abuse. Data is expressly shared with Google and, depending on your choices and our AdMob configuration, the advertising partners listed in the consent message.

Where consent is required, processing is based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, for storing or accessing information on your device, the applicable national law implementing the ePrivacy Directive. Strictly necessary security and fraud-prevention operations may be based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure operation of the ad-funded service and prevention of abuse. Personalised ads are used only where the required consent has been given.

You can change your selection at any time in Sentream under “Settings” using “Privacy choices” where Google makes this option available for your region. You can also reset or delete the advertising ID in your device’s privacy settings. After you purchase “Remove ads”, Sentream no longer requests ads.

Google and advertising partners may also process data in countries outside the European Economic Area. Google describes adequacy decisions, participation in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and Standard Contractual Clauses as possible safeguards. The recipients and safeguards actually used may depend on your consent choices and our AdMob configuration.

5. “Remove ads” in-app purchase

The one-time in-app purchase is handled by Google Play on Android and the Apple App Store on iOS. The relevant store processes account, payment, purchase, device and fraud-prevention data under its own privacy terms. We do not receive credit card or bank details.

The app receives the product identifier, purchase status and technical transaction information required to unlock, restore and complete the purchase. The entitlement is stored locally. Our legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Google’s or Apple’s own legal bases and retention periods apply to processing carried out under their responsibility.

6. Retention

Locally stored settings and statistics remain on the device until you erase them through the operating system settings or uninstall the app. Data received by Google, Apple or advertising partners is erased or anonymised according to their respective retention rules. We have no direct control over those periods.

7. Your rights

Where the legal conditions apply, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time with future effect. Processing carried out before withdrawal remains lawful.

Because local game and settings data is never sent to us, we cannot associate it with a user or erase it remotely. Please use your device’s deletion controls.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the EU Member State of your residence, workplace or the place of the alleged infringement. 8. Children and young people

Sentream is not specifically directed to children and is intended for people aged 16 and over. We do not ask minors to provide names, contact details or other personal information. Anyone who cannot legally consent to processing for personalised advertising under the law of their country should give such consent only with the permission of a parent or guardian. The age and advertising settings in Google Play, the Apple App Store and AdMob must match this audience.

9. Changes

We will update this policy if the app’s features, service providers or applicable law change. The latest revision date appears at the top of this page.

10. Notice about this website

This policy describes processing in the Sentream app only. The general privacy policy of buergel.es, available through the website’s privacy link, also applies when you view this Contao page. Separate notices keep the website’s processing distinct from the app’s processing.
